This spectacular vintage cabochon cut Opal ring is built around an impressive approx. 7ct natural Opal; one of the largest and most beautiful that we have ever seen!
Opals show a kaleidoscope of shifting colours within, changing as the light passes through the stone in different directions. Turned one way this stone exhibits a fierce orange inner fire, and if turned the other shows a shimmering green scintillation.
The stone has been tastefully claw set in a 14ct Yellow Gold gallery that allows light to play across the surface of the stone, magnifying its natural opalescence. Elegantly formed shoulders rise from the shank to grip the gallery, whose back is adorned with delicate engravings.
This is a truly remarkable piece for an Opal lover to wear.
