A beautiful Antique Edwardian ring made by London jeweller James William Benson in the early 20th Century. The face is adorned with a violet Amethyst in the centre weighing approx. 0.30ct with twin 0.20ct Peridots at each side and four twinkling Diamonds nestled in between.
Together the colours of each stone show support for the women’s Suffragette movement which took place in the early 20th Century and symbolise; Violet for Loyalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope, or Give Women Votes!
The ring is all 18ct Yellow Gold with fabulous star settings for each stone and engraved shoulders. It’s complete with the maker’s initials and London hallmarks which date it to 1910.
